Open with $50 and maintain $5 in a membership share account. Each month, make at least 20 debit card purchases totaling $100, enroll in eStatements, and receive a direct deposit of at least $100 or make one Greater Iowa bill-pay payment. Transactions must post and settle by the last business day's close; internal transfers do not qualify.

5.00% APY applies to balances up to $20,000, and 0.10% APY to the portion above $20,000. Miss the monthly criteria and the whole balance earns 0.01% APY.

$50 required to open Greater Checking, Classic and Premium accounts. **Greater Checking qualifications to earn higher dividend rate: Personal accounts only, limit one account per tax identification number, and must be aged 18 years or older. These requirements must be met, post, and settle during the monthly qualification cycle in order to receive the high dividend rate and other benefits: • Have a share (membership) account with a minimum balance of $5.00, • Have at least twenty (20) debit card purchases totaling $100 (PIN based or signature based) from Greater Iowa debit card, and the purchases must post and settle prior to the close of business on the last business day of the month, • The membership associated with Greater Checking account must elect to receive electronic statements (e-Statements) in lieu of paper statements by registering or linking for e-Statements with a valid email address, • Have a direct deposit of at least $100 per month in the Greater Checking account or at least one payment made via Greater Iowa bill pay from the Greater Checking account (internal transfers are excluded and do not qualify) prior to the close of business on the last business day of the month.
