How To Qualify
Open a new eligible M&T checking account (EZChoice Checking, MyChoice Plus Checking, MyChoice Plus Checking with Interest, or MyChoice Premium Checking) by July 31, 2026 using promo code TG.
Receive qualifying direct deposits totaling at least $500 within 90 days of account opening. Qualifying direct deposits include recurring electronic deposits of payroll, pension or Social Security. Person-to-person, bank or other electronic money transfers do not qualify.

EZChoice Checking has no monthly maintenance charge. Other eligible accounts: MyChoice Plus Checking ($14.95/month, waived with $2,500 avg balance or $1,500+ in direct deposits), MyChoice Premium Checking ($24.95/month, waived with $7,500 avg balance or $25,000 combined balances).
Early Account Closure Fee
